Thank you, Donald. I wish you well! We have to hang on to our faith in ourselves in the often-discouraging process of looking for a new job.

Thank you, Denise! I understand those depressed feelings completely. All I can say is, don't give up on yourself and never lose hope. I wish you all the best too.

Thanks for your good wishes, Dazed not Confused. If you want to hope that the reelection of President Obama means that economic good times lie ahead, that's your choice; but I'm a realist. (And I do believe that Romney's policies, unlike Obama's, would have encouraged economic growth.)
I will "make the best of it" over the next four years, but as a "good American," I'm not going to suspend the use of my brain and common sense. I wish you luck too!

Hi Jeanne! I appreciate your very kind words. I'd like to keep blogging for Patch, but I'm still pondering what to blog about. I definitely plan to write about my transition to the working world and how easy (or difficult) it is to make that adjustment. Thanks again.

Thank you, Aliah! I think I will keep blogging, but I'm not sure on what topic(s) yet. I have to give that a little more thought. See you at one of our AWCNJ get-togethers soon!

I'd love to continue blogging for Patch, but I'm not sure about what yet!

"...life is too short -- do what makes you happy...". Joshua, I agree with this completely! I also like what you said about believing in the future and looking ahead. We may have to be more persistent for a longer period of time, but I think we should never let go of our dreams.

ReplyThank you, Alex! "Some people make decisions very slowly." That is me. The process you describe is similar to what I go through; I feel that I must leave no stone unturned in pondering my decision and examining the pros and cons. Then, once I've made the decision, I don't second-guess myself or regret that I overlooked something. Yes, please, I'd like to see your "How to Evaluate a Job Offer" information. How can you send it to me? Maybe you could send it to the Patch editor, Jack Durschlag, at jack.durschlag@patch.com? Thanks again, Alex.
