22 Shore Towns Under Water Emergency

At a press conference at Wolf Hill Recreation Area in Oceanport, Gov. Chris Christie said full water service should be restored by July 4th.

Full water service to Monmouth County residents isn't expected until July 4th, with temporary service being restored in the next two days, Gov. Chris Christie said at a press conference at Wolf Hill Recreation Area in Oceanport. You would think that the Fed Gov't would perform a spot audit on how and where the $14B was being spent. I did gov't contract work for years (nowhere near $14B) yet there was typically a quarterly audit on makiing sure the allocation was being correctly used.   more ›

What to do at the beach this weekend.

Rain could put a damper on beach plans for one of the last summer weekends but that doesn't mean there isn't still plenty to do down the Shore: New Jersey native and teen pop star Joe Jonas will perform free in Seaside Heights at noon Friday on Carteret Avenue. The member of the Jonas Brothers will debut his new song "See No More" as part of a live broadcast on B98.5 FM. While anyone can head to Carteret Avenue, beach badge rates still apply for those who'd like to listen from the beach. Antique autos will roll through Wall Township Sunday for the 16th annual Rolling Antique Iron Show, slated to start at 8:30 a.m. at Allaire Village. Cars from the early 20th century are expected, with trophies to be awarded.
