Verona Zoning Board May Decide Fate of Bloomfield Ave. Property
A hearing for a proposed three-story mixed retail and residential building will continue at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10.
The Verona Zoning Board may reach a decision Thursday night regarding a Bloomfield Ave. property that has caused an outcry from nearby residents. The proposed three-story property, designed for 176 and 200 Bloomfield Ave. by developer DMH2 LLC, would include retail businesses on the first floor with residential apartments on the second and third floors, as well as two parking lots. More than 50 residents have attended previous meetings opposing the development and voicing concerns about how blasting could damage property and create unsafe conditions for the foundations of their homes.
