NJ Transit Starts Free Bus From Montclair to Weekhawken Ferry
Service begins Friday; commuters can connect to free ferry service from there to lower Manhattan.
NJ Transit announced on Thursday an expanded plan to get commuters on suspended train lines into New York City. Beginning on Friday, Nov. 9, there will be a free shuttle bus service between Montclair's Bay Street, Glen Ridge and Bloomfield Avenue stations and Weehawken Ferry Terminal. Passengers may then take advantage of rree ferry service between Weehawken and Pier 79 at West 39th Street in Manhattan (Midtown Manhattan).
