Verona and Cedar Grove offer additional parking in case of a snowstorm.
If you don't have enough parking in your garage or in your driveway, where do you park during a snowstorm? The Township of Verona does not allow parking on the streets during a snowstorm in any case but is making sure to accommodate cars that overflow from any residence. “Vehicles left on the roadway during a snowstorm may be issued a summons and towed at the owner’s expense,” the Verona website says. However, residents without sufficient parking can park at Municipal Lot 1 or at the Verona Pool upper parking lot while its snowing. Municipal Lot 1 is on Park Place, across from Lakeside Avenue, and just off of Bloomfield Avenue. The lot has 42 metered parking spaces and 25 permit parking spaces. “If you park in the Municipal Lot, you do not…

The weekend will be mostly cloudy with highs in the 50s.
Residents in New Jersey and New York can breathe a sigh of relief this weekend, as power restoration continues following Hurricane Sandy. The National Weather Service says some areas will experience colder temperatures, but no severe weather or flooding is expected.
