Verona Program Helps Boys Develop Social Skills

LifeWorks helps teens overcome awkwardness, learn to interact with fellow teens.

A new 10-week-long Verona and Nutley-based program is helping local teenage boys behave better in school through weekly work sessions that concentrate on developing various social skills. The “Got Skills?” program is one of three teen programs organized by LifeWorks Counseling LLC, run by Licensed Clinical Social Workers Gina M. Unger and Ingrid E. Burke. The group sessions are attended by students who frequently get into trouble at school, get into fights or have challenges making friends. Nutley's 'Tan Mom' Gets Help

After admitting she has a excessive tanning problem, Patricia Krentcil, stars in webisodes using the 'The Skin Regime' to improve her skin.

Using her name and fame, the 'Tan Mom' of Nutley, Patricia Krentcil, has teamed up with the author of 'The Skin Regime' in a series of webisodes on Youtube about improving her skin. Currently featured on Dana Ramos's website for her book, 'The Skin Regime; Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin' , Krentcil stars in her first two webisodes, 'Tanning Mom Gets a Face Peel' and 'Adorable Anna.' This Friday, Krentcil will be a special guest for the launch of a new book at Westchester Mixed Martial Arts in Kisco, N.Y. Last month, Krentcil and family acknowledged her problems with new fame and was getting help from the 'The Skin Regime' author, Ramos, of Westchester, NY, according to Huffingtonpost. POLL: Is Tanning Dangerous?

Nutley mom's arrest and appearance leaves many shaking their heads.

What a crazy week it was for Patricia Krentcil. The 44-year-old Nutley mom became infamous nationwide for a scandal that started because she was accused of letting her five-year-old daughter go into a tanning booth with her. Police arrested Krentcil, who also had an oustanding warrant, after the little girl allegedly complained of being burned. Since then Krentcil has appeared on national television and in publications around the United States. And the public has started to question the issue of what appears to be excessive tanning and whether or not it's safe for children to be allowed at tanning salons. Krentcil has denied the allegations and said her daughter went with her, but was never allowed in the tanning bed. Experts are weighing …
