Today marks the 16th Annual Verona Fair in the Square which runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Verona Civic Center Square at 600 Bloomfield Ave. Residents can enjoy shopping for holiday jewelry, children’s toys, specialty knits, t-shirts and more. This weekend marks the kick-off of an annual Verona tradition — the launch of the annual Fair in the Square on Saturday at the Verona Civic Center. “Fair in the Square has become Verona’s tradition, drawing people from all over town and surrounding communities,” said Mayor Frank Sapienza. “The fair is great because it is so community and family oriented, with plenty of activities, entertainment, and food; and will have children and adults enjoying a great day outdoors meeting their neighbors.” This is the 16th year of the fair, which also includes shopping, games and family fun.
