Frelinghuysen To Visit Verona High School Wednesday

Congressman to speak with students about current political issues and reveal his insights to inner workings of Congress.

Verona High School students will have the opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of Congress Wednesday when Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen visits the school to speak with U.S. history students. Frelinghuysen will be visiting the school from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the invitation of history and social sciences teacher Chris Tamburro. “I invited Congressman Frelinghuysen after he was elected to represent this district in order to give the students the ability to ask questions directly to a representative,” Tamburro said. “Students should directly experience the government as much as possible so that they are inclined to participate as educated voters and citizens in the future,” he added. Frelinghuysen Letter Thanks 11th District Voters

Republican congressman applauds constituent's efforts that helped get him re-elected.

I am writing to thank the voters of the 11th Congressional District for supporting my re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.  I am pleased now to represent many new constituents in Essex, Passaic and Sussex Counties in January.  My heart goes out to those who are in need and to so many who were able to vote Tuesday and keep their community and America strong, despite incredible obstacles.  Our focus in Congress continues to be jobs and the economy, getting people back to work, government “out of their way,” lowering taxes, and creating a climate where small businesses can survive and flourish. That effort needs to be bipartisan.  I am grateful to the voters of the new 11th Congressional District who have allowed me to continue …

Frelinghuysen Touts Small Business

Congressman tours Verona to promote small business and urge easing of regulations, mandates.

  Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11th District) spent time on Wednesday afternoon visiting small businesses on Bloomfield Avenue in Verona with Chamber of Commerce President Steve Amadeo and Deputy Mayor Bob Manley. “Small business is the engine of the real economy,” said Frelinghuysen said. “Many business owners said they want the federal government ‘off their backs’ and less regulations and mandates.” Frelinghuysen greeted employees and customers of several area businesses and reassured them that he would work to do everything in his power to enact common sense reforms to the business tax code, champion pro-growth policies and get America’s businesses hiring again.
