Cloverleaf Selling Stockings to Help Sandy Survivors

Caldwell restaurant launches fundraiser to provide relief for Jersey Shore.

The Cloverleaf Tavern is hanging stockings up for the holidays to help survivors of Hurricane Sandy. The Caldwell pub and restaurant launched a fundraiser in which patrons can personalize a paper stocking for a $5 donation. The stockings will be displayed behind the bar.  Cloverleaf manager Tina Hamilton conceived of the idea as a way to give back to those whose holidays may not be as merry because of the storm that devastated the Jersey Shore last month. “I wanted to do something because I spent all my summers down there as a kid,” Hamilton said. Congratulations to O'Neil's Restaurant & Pub for earning Patch's Reader's Choice Best of St. Patrick's Day winner.

The results are in and the winner of the Patch Readers’ Choice Best of poll for what local pub Verona-Cedar Grove readers will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at is Verona’s O’Neils Restaurant & Pub, 706 Bloomfield Ave. Reader’s chose Caldwell’s Cloverleaf Tavern, 395 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell, as the runner-up. O’Neil’s serves comfort food and has a kid-friendly environment in the main dining area. Food ranges from nachos and mozzarella sticks to pizza and burgers.
