A Guide to Holiday Worship Services Around Verona and Cedar Grove

Local churches open their doors for the holiday.

Verona The First Presbyterian Church, 10 Fairview Ave., will hold Christmas Eve services starting at 4 p.m. with a family service featuring music by the children's praise and junior hand bell choirs. The traditional service of lessons and carols is at 9 p.m., and a Christmas Healing service will be part of the worship at 10:15 on Sunday, Dec. 26. The First Congregational Church of Verona, 19 Church St., will hold a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 36 Gould St., will host Christmas Eve services at 4 and 10 p.m., the Service of the Holy Eucharist will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Christmas morning.
