New York City is planning to kick the ball around in the MLS come the spring of 2015. Major League Soccer Commissioner Dan Garber announced the birth of the newest franchise in the MLS: the New York City Football Club. The new club will be owned by 2012 Barclay’s Premier League champions Manchester City and the 27 time World Series champion New York Yankees. “This opportunity is huge for us and huge for the city. James, Why belittle another sport (which I dislike, by the way) in order to make your point? And all my point was that the attempt to market MLS as "major league," given the premiere leagues already in places--a number in Europe--was, to me, a waste of time. Can you go to an MLS game and have a great time and see a competitive, fairly topnotch game? Sure, in the same way you can go see the …   more ›

Unfortunately, for those who become addicted, especially MICA(Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted) there is really no place to go for rehab long-term. The 30 day rehabs are a joke. Unless you can spend many thousands of dallars, you just get put on a waiting list. And the places for MICA are few and far between. If you are a true addict, you need long term inpatient rehab- NA may work for some after…   more ›

So many of us have unused or infrequently used gym memberships, and even for those of us who do make it to the gym, we often lose a mental struggle with ourselves to stay on the treadmill for a full workout or complete that last set of reps. So what’s a person to do who wants to get in better shape but needs more motivation to do it? Well, that’s where boot camp comes in. Originating on the West Coast around 15 years ago, boot camp workouts have recently made their way to the East Coast and around the globe. While they may have originally appealed to athletes and hard-core fitness enthusiasts, there are now boot camps for people of…
