I learned some, but not all of my mom's skills. If it's not too late, I hope daughters take advantage of what their moms could teach them!
Exploring how much we visit or stay connected to our hometown after we have no family living there.
One reason I write this blog is the feeling that my mom still holds my hand at times, even though she passed away over 18 years ago. I am fortunate to have had her influence in my life.
Did my mom miss out on reading for fun, was she typical of her generation?
I am grateful for all of the big and little things my mom taught me. How to find all the meat in a lobster is just one of the useful things she taught me (and even my friends).
My mother died when I was 30. I hope my blog is an inspiration to keep those we love, including loved ones we've lost, alive in both our activities and general spirit!
