Although the illusion is held that it is fine dining, the quality and effort put into the food is minimal. For mediocre food, its very overpriced. While the service was excellent, the host seemed over overaggressive and rude when it came to seating us.

Had a lovely dinner at Avenue Bistro the other night. I ordered the brie with orange marmalade to start. What a great comfort food! For my entree, had the Thai tuna special which was out of this world. The sauce was a sweet and spicy balance with pineapple and peanuts, and the tuna was perfectly cooked rare. My friend and I shared a bottle of their house chard. I'm not usually a chard drinker but their house chard was very good. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the cinnamon creme brulee for dessert. Great meal, good music, nice ambience - loved it and will definitely go back again with friends and family.
We were just at Avenue B last night, had firecracker calamari and short ribs. Food and service were great.
I went here last spring and it was mediocre food and terrible service. I was hoping they would get better....
When the Avenue Bistro first opened , it became my familys faovorite place to dine. Since then the quality of the food has fallen dramitically. This service is okay , nothing to get excited about. Last night December 10 , 2010 was my familys last dining experience at the Avenue. The place was empty , exept for the bar.We ordered soup , it came out luke warm at best. Then for our entree we ordered hamburgers with cheese fries.Well nedless to say my wife had to send back her hamburger 3 times. First it wasnt cooked the way she asked , then they brought another one that had the wrong cheese. As my family sat there waiting for moms food to arrive ours got colder. Here comes moms berger, still not cooked to her order , so she decided it wasnt worth asking to have it corrected. To top it off they never put cheeses on the fries. The server offered us free coffe. Where is the Manager to come over and say i am sorry. Its not like you were busy.I know understand why the place was empty.

My husband and I love this place. We have brought family anf friends and always had a great meal. I would suggest the scallops, they are often a special and always delicious.Service is warm and attentive.
