Are You a Better Speller Than a Fifth Grader?

Verona and Cedar Grove students compete in spelling bees Saturday.

Verona and Cedar Grove kids will put their spelling-prowess to the test this weekend — with no spell checker allowed.

The GFWC Junior Women’s Club of Cedar Grove will sponsor its annual spelling bee for fourth and fifth grade students on Saturday in the Cedar Grove High School Auditorium at 9 a.m. Both public and private school students will participate in the competition.

All profits from the event will be donated to the High School Tech Club.

Students in neighboring Verona will also take part in an annual spelling contest for fourth and fifth graders.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona have organized the bee which will take place in the H.B. Whitehorne Middle School Auditorium at 10 a.m.

Check back soon for details on who will be crowned the best spellers in Verona-Cedar Grove.
