Sept. 11 Observance, Coaching Clinic, Free Movie Screening

What's happening in Verona-Cedar Grove this week and what stories Patch plans to cover.

The Cedar Grove Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m.

The Verona Board of Education will meet Tuesday, at 8 p.m. at Verona High School.

The Cedar Grove BOE also meets Tuesday, at 8 p.m., in the North End School Media Center.

Any Verona resident interested in coaching youth sports must take this class: Rutgers Coaching Clinic on Tuesday, at 6 p.m., at the Verona Community Center. Pre-registration required.

The Township of Verona will observe the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Wednesday, at 8:45 a.m., at the Verona Civic Center, 600 Bloomfield Ave. The observance will take place by the Sept. 11 memorial.

The Cedar Grove Public Library will hold a free screening of The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio on Wednesday, at 1p.m.

Interested in volunteering with the Friends of the Verona Public Library? The organization will hold its Sept. meeting on Thursday, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the library. Volunteers are sought to help with Family Fun Night, the Friends Annual Book Sale, and a new home delivery program.
