VMAC in cooperation with Verona Community Services presented the positive parenting presentation, “Stop the Yelling and Gain Cooperation” on Oct. 22 at the Verona Community Center. The speaker was Tom Palermo who is the president of Positive Parenting and Executive Director/Founder of Families First. Positive Parenting is an approved Parent Resource by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services, Foster and Adoptive Family Services. Mr. Palermo brings the skill and craft of parenting to the forefront, empowering parents. He uses humor and his decades of experience as a therapist (and father) to impart practical parenting techniques to his audience.
