Help a Child Receive a Week in Summer Camp

June starts donation period for program to help pay costs of summer camps for low-income families.

The United Way of Northern New Jersey camp fund kicks of its annual campaign this month with a goal to raise $34,000 to support summer camp scholarships for 125 children.

On average it costs $250 to send a child to summer camp for one week in the summer.

The scholarships, which are offered to children with disabilities or from low-income families, allow the children to attend camps run by six United Way partner agencies.
