Verona Students Educated About Alcohol Poisoning

Verona Municipal Alliance Committee funds Aware Awake Alive program.

The Verona High School Administration, Guidance, Health and Athletic Departments partnered with the Verona Police Department to bring Aware Awake Alive (www.awareawakealive.org) to VHS students last month.

The program educates students on the signs of alcohol poisoning, as well as the state's 9-1-1 Lifeline Law which provides immunity to those who call for help.

Shirley Bush, School Nurse, and Dana Lustig, Student Assistance Counselor, delivered the program in Physical Education classes.
