Verona Schools Switch Emergency Alert Services

SchoolMessenger allows the district to deliver important information using text messages. Here's how to sign up.

Verona Schools has a new and improved way of communicating with parents.

A new service, SchoolMessenger, allows the district to deliver important information using text messages.

In order to receive text messages, parents need to opt-in to the system, which takes a few seconds.

Follow these steps:

  • Text any one of the following words to the number 68453: subscribe, optin, yes.
  • You’ll know you were successful if you receive the following reply message: “You are registered to receive aprox 3msgs/mo. Txt STOP to quit, HELP for help."
  • Repeat the process for any wireless numbers you wish to include.
Please note: This will only work for numbers already listed as contact numbers to your child’s school. The district also asks parents to check with their wireless carrier for possible charges.
