Verona Schools Developing Five Year Strategic Plan

Verona School District Strategic Plan Internal Coordinator Elizabeth C. Jewett pens letter to the editor.

Dear Colleagues and Community Members,

The Verona School District is in the midst of the development phase of our next five year Strategic Plan.

On December 13th and 14th, the Steering Committee - comprised of a board member, administrators, faculty, parents, community members, and a high school student- collaborated to review and refine our mission statement, establish our strategic goals, and develop the strategies that will be executed to actualize the mission and goals.

The Committee’s recommended framework for our 2013-2018 Strategic Plan will be presented to the public at the Board of Education meeting on January 8, 2013 at 8PM.

The next step in the strategic planning process is to form teams that will develop action plans for each of the strategies outlined in the Strategic Plan.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I encourage you to attend the board meeting on January 8th to hear more about the framework of the plan, and I look forward to working with you as we continue to enhance teaching and learning within the Verona Public Schools.
