Parent Open House to Focus on Freshmen

Parents and caregivers of students entering Cedar Grove High School in fall 2014 invited to event on Nov. 20.

Cedar Grove High School will host a Parent Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m., in the Auditorium.

This year's program will focus on freshman placement.

High school guidance counselors and supervisors will cover such topics as transitioning from middle school to high school, scheduling and course selection, honors placement, and the importance of goal setting.

The goal of the evening is to give parents a clear understanding of the educational opportunities available to incoming freshman.

All local parents and caregivers of students who will be of high school age in September 2014 are welcome to attend.

In previous years, the open house focused on curricular and co-curricular programs offered at Cedar Grove High School.
