OLL Students Celebrate Martin Luther King Day

Our Lady of the Lake School students prepare projects in honor of Martin Luther King.

Students at Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona spent Monday, Jan. 21 learning about the influence of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The third grade, taught by Mrs. Beth Grimes, did a special I Have a Dream project in addition to lessons on King's work. Students also prepared reports on their dreams for their families, communities, country or world.

Second grade teacher Mrs. Barbara Murphy, led her students in creating special hero reports and posters in honor of King. Many of the second graders chose Dr. King as their hero.
