OLL School Raises Nearly $300 for Charity

Students at Our Lady of the Lake School paid $1 or more to wear pink for a day instead of school uniforms to support the Minette Grosso McKenna Angel Foundation.

Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona raised $291 for the Minette Grosso McKenna Angel Foundation (Minette’s Angels), a local charitable foundation that provides comfort and support to women and their families who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Students each paid $1 or more to be able to wear anything pink of their choice instead of their school uniforms.

Eighth-grade students Jack Waldron and Michael Mughetto presented the day’s collection to third grade teacher Beth Grimes, who accepted the contribution on behalf of the Foundation.
