Our Lady of the Lake School kicked off its Catholic Schools Week with a special ceremony honoring one of its most valued teachers.

Catholic Schools week ran from Sunday, Jan. 27 until Saturday, Feb. 2. During a special family mass on Sunday, Our Lady of the Lake recognized 5th grade teacher Mrs. Bethanne McNamara, who is now celebrating her 25th year with Our Lady of the Lake.

Class parents collected and presented McNamara with a booklet containing testimonials and greetings from past and present students as well as a large bouquet of flowers and other gifts.

Catholic Schools Week featured many unique activities with open houses, events, presentations and the 8th grade pasta dinner and tricky tray raffle.

“All proceeds from the Pasta Dinner go to support the many special activities that the 8th graders enjoy leading up to their graduation,” said John Mandler of OLL's Marketing and Publicity Committee.
