New Curriculum Molds Future Engineers

Verona Public Schools introduces new Engineering by Design (EbD) curriculum.

The occupations today’s students will be employed in will more than ever involve the four disciplines known as S.T.E.M. — science, technology, engineering and math — according to research cited by Verona Public Schools.

This is why the district said it has adopted a new Engineering by Design (EbD) curriculum starting with this fall’s third and fourth graders.

"S.T.E.M. is here to stay, it is a national initiative. The world has changed and we need to change with it," said Larry Siegel, who is teaching the EbD curriculum. "I can't wait to work with all of my future engineer and scientist 'docsters!'"
