What's Open, What's Closed in Verona-Cedar Grove During Hurricane Sandy

Patch's up-to-date list of information you need to know.

Verona and Cedar Grove are hunkering down to await Hurricane Sandy as it threatens to hit New Jersey hard with high winds and flooding.

Here's a quick list of what's open and has already been closed:

  • Cedar Grove Town Hall – Closed Monday. Tuesday TBD
  • Recycling and garbage pickup - No pickup until further notice
  • Verona Town Hall – Open. The township is also offering residents a limited supply of sand at the Department of Public Works Garage, 10 Ozone Ave. between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the length of the storm. Residents must supply their own sandbags.

    • Essex County offices, buildings and facilities - closed, with the following exceptions.
