School Starts in Cedar Grove, Meetings Planned in Week Ahead

Students are trading in their bathing suits and towels for school books and pencils this week as the Cedar Grove School District begins a new school year this morning. Verona started school last Thursday.

The Cedar Grove Township Council will meet tonight at 7 at town hall, located at 525 Pompton Ave. An agenda is attached. 

The Verona 9/11 Commission will be holding a Sept. 11 memorial service tomorrow, in front of the Verona Civic Center at 600 Bloomfield Ave. The service will begin at 8:45 a.m., the same time American Airlines Flight 11 stuck the North Tower of the World Trade Center. 

Tomorrow night, Cedar Grove will be hosting a rabies clinic for dogs and cats in the municipal parking lot at 525 Pompton Ave. from 6 to 7 p.m. The township will be offering rabies vaccination and pet licensing.

The Cedar Grove Zoning Board meets tomorrow night at 8 p.m. at town hall at 525 Pompton Ave. An agenda is attached to this story.

The Verona Board of Adjustment will meet Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave. No agenda is currently available.
