"I enjoy serving and I think that our council treats the township monies the same way we do in our personal lives," he said. "In my case, running a business and a family is the same way I treat the people's money."

"It's imperative that we have a business-minded council that we have had in the past," he added.

Councilman Zunic confirmed via email that he will be seeking a second term on the council. Zunic was elected in 2009.

Councilman Longo has not officially announced he will be seeking re-election but said he is "seriously considering it."

Longo has served three full terms on the council since 1995 and if would look forward to working with the residents of Cedar Grove and keeping taxes low, if he decides to run.

"We have the fourth lowest tax rate in Essex County, something I'm very proud of," he said. "This council and past councils have been frugal to the benefit of the residents."

Packets can be picked up at the Municipal Clerks Office located at Town Hall, 525 Pompton Ave.

The packets include all information on requirements and candidate information.
