Car Stolen From Verona Driveway Found in Newark

A car left idling on a Verona driveway Dec. 26 was stolen and recovered the following day in Newark, police said.

The black BMW X3 was taken from an Oakridge Road residence just after 11 a.m., police said.

“The resident reported that he started the vehicle and left the keys in it to warm up,” Verona police said. “When he came back outside the vehicle was missing from the driveway.”

Newark police found the car the next day and contacted both State Police and Verona police, officials said.

The car was then returned to the owner in Verona, police said.
