Cedar Grove Police Department Seeking Officers

Police Officer jobs available in Cedar Grove.

The Cedar Grove Police Department is looking to hire additional police officers to the force.

The department recently had two officers announce their retirements.

Police are asking applicants to submit their resumes to the attention of Township Manager Thomas Tucci at 525 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. Resumes should be submitted no later than Friday, March 15, 2013.

“Applicants must be at least 18 years old and upon appointment must have successfully completed the Basic Course for Police Officers as administered by a NJ Police Training Commission Certified Police Academy and be eligible for PTC Certification,” police said.

Applicants must also have at least 60 college credits from an accredited institution; or 30 college credits and 2 years U.S. Military with an Honorable Discharge or at least 30 college credits and 2 years police experience with a New Jersey Police Department.

“All applicants must be capable of acceptance into the NJ Police & Fireman’s Retirement System,” police said.
