Cedar Grove Firehouse Advances to CBS Radio Chili Cook-Off Finals

Center Fire Company Firehouse Chef Tom Wilson mixed up a big batch of his "Magic Chili" this weekend in a semi-final round of the CBS Radio New York Firehouse Chili Cook-Off Contest.

The Cedar Grove firehouse favorite took first place over Little Falls Fire Department's Engine Company No. 2, Paramus Fire Department's Company No. 2 and North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, 43rd Street Firehouse.

Center Fire Company moves on to the final round on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at Suite 36 in New York City (16 West 36th St.), where the ultimate Firehouse Chili Cook-Off winner will be crowned. 

Celebrity judges will include former New York Giant and CBS Sports Radio host, Tiki Barber, and former NFL punter Sean Landeta. 

The grand-prize winning firehouse will receive VIP tickets to a 2014 New York Yankees game at Yankee Stadium. 

Center Company will donate the $500 prize for the semi-final win to the NG Foundation, in honor of Nick Gualtieri.
