Self Defense Seminar for Women

A Self Defense Seminar for Women will be held on January 4th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Verona High School (151 Fairview Avenue, Verona).  The seminar is being sponsored by the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona, with support from the Verona Board of Education. The cost is $25 per person and the class is limited to 24 women.

Registrants should wear comfortable clothes. The class will cover being aware of one’s surroundings; simple, effective, and proven techniques to fight off an attacker and escape harm. Multiple attack scenarios will be explained, including sexual assault, home invasion, robbery, and other violent criminal acts.

The course will be taught by Eric Basek of Blue Titan Fitness and Self Defense ( www.bluetitanfitness.com ).  Eric is a former police sergeant and SWAT team member who has several years’ experience teaching self-defense to both civilians and law enforcement officers. Women can RSVP and register by calling Blue Titan at 862-209-4636.
