Essex Announces County Leaf Pickup Schedule

Residents asked to wait until weekend before pickup to place leaves on county roads.

Essex County residents living on or near county roads should hold off placing leaves by the curb for pickup until the weekend prior to the announced pickup date, county officials said.

Leaf collections on county roads will begin at the end of the month and continue into 2013 depending on location.

The county has divided leaf pickup into four sections, with three pickups in each of those sections.
