Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides, Stilt Walkers at Fair in the Square

17th annual Verona winter festival set for Dec. 7.

The 17th annual Verona Fair in the Square will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, from noon to 5 p.m., at Verona Civic Center Square, 600 Bloomfield Ave.

Jimmy Hill of Eight Hills Caterers, founder of Fair in the Square, is an enthusiastic supporter and annual food vendor at the fair.  

“The fair creates an opportunity for the community to come together to enjoy good food, entertainment, fun family activities and start their holiday shopping conveniently close to home,” Hill said.

Eight Hills Caterers and Wells Fargo are co-sponsors of the horse-drawn carriage which will give free rides to fairgoers from 1 to 4 p.m.

“Wells Fargo is excited to participate in the Verona Fair in the Square and we look forward to co-sponsoring the ride which so many people enjoy," said Lissette Morales, Verona Store Manager/ Vice President, Wells Fargo.

Fair goers will be entertained by Polka Dot, who will sing, dance, and get the young at heart moving. Strolling stilt walkers, fire-eaters and puppeteers will amuse attendees. Food and beverages will by sold by some of Verona’s favorite restaurants in the food court.
