Verona Kids Paint the Town Dread

Nothing says its Halloween in Verona like the window painting tradition in downtown.

Haunted houses, graveyards and pumpkin patches are among the most popular themes chosen by students who painted the windows of Verona businesses for Halloween 2013.

Designs created by individuals as well as groups of children line Bloomfield Avenue from Forest Street to just before Pompton Avenue.

The window painting tradition is open to students in fifth through eighth grade from Verona Public Schools and Our Lady of the Lake School.

Verona Patch tried to capture every window design. If by chance we missed one, please email a photo to teresa.akersten@patch.com and we'll add it!
