The Junior Women's Club of Cedar Grove is inviting residents to join them on Oct. 4 at the Cedar Grove Public Library for an informal meet and greet.
The new member open house will be held between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. The informal gathering will give prospective members a chance to meet current members, learn about the volunteer organization and information on how to join.
The Junior Women's Club is a non-profit group that has been organizing events, services and donations since 1946.
The organization has sponsored events in the community such as Storytime with the Easter Bunny, Breakfast with Santa, Spelling Bee, Mother’s Market, Bingo Night, and Caroling and Trick-or-Treating at the local nursing home,” said the organization in a written statement.
“The money our club raises is donated to The Seeing Eye, our current state project, as well as our local firehouses, schools, rescue squad and the public library," they said.
