Friends of Verona Public Library Hold 31st Annual Book Sale

Book sale features thousands of titles for adults, teens and children.

The Friends of the Verona Public Library will hold their 31st annual book sale on Thursday, Dec. 5 through Monday, Dec. 9.  

This popular used book sale features thousands of books and DVDs for adults, teens, and children.  

Friends of the Verona Public Library members are invited to come on the preview day on Thursday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., for the best selection. If you are not a member, join at the sale. Memberships start as low as $10 and are tax deductible.

The sale opens up to the public on Friday, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Children and seniors over the age of 65 get a book for free that afternoon, up to a $2 value. 

The sale continues on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and will coincide with Fair in the Square.

Sunday is the sale’s 50% off day, with all books marked down half price. The sale will be open from 2 to 4:30 p.m.  

Finally, on Monday, is the bag sale where you can fill a bag of books for only $1. Teachers can take books for free all day. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

The sale is held in the Jack Foley room located on the basement level of the Verona Public Library, 17 Gould St., in Verona.  

All funds raised by this sale are donated to the Verona Public Library.
