West Essex Art Assoc. Meeting Features Noted Artist, Tim Gaydos

The West Essex Art Association is pleased to announce our monthly meeting featuring a talk by noted artist, Tim Gaydos, who recently completed a commission of murals for NJ Transit.  He will speak about the experience and challenges of this commission.  You can see the murals at TimGaydos.com .

Join us on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 7:30-9:30PM at Crane's Mill Town Square, 459 Passaic Ave., West Caldwell, NJ in the Activity Room.

Tim Gaydos, born and reared in New York City, attended the University of California at Berkeley and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, Italy. In addition to achieving recent success with mural painting, he’s been a Master Pastelist of the Pastel Society of America (PSA) since 1987 and has won the top awards in 1995 and 2007, as well as nine other awards since 1982, in the PSA Annual Open Juried Exhibitions for Pastels Only. Equally adept in water-media (acrylic on paper), he won the American Watercolor Society (AWS) Gold Medal of Honor in 1995, the AWS Silver Medal of Honor in 2002 and other AWS awards in 2000, 2001, 2005 and 2011. His work has appeared in numerous museum exhibitions and is part of many museum and corporate collections. He’s represented by Gallery 51 in Montclair, New Jersey; Woodwind Gallery in Machias, Maine; and Sharpe Gallery in Kennebunk, Maine. Visit his website at www.timgaydos.com
