Cedar Grove Historical Society Meeting

Celebrate Washington’s Birthday with the Cedar Grove Historical Society as Ray Williams, a former Cedar Grove resident, presents a program entitled Washington Commemorated on Coins and Medals. George Washington’s image appears on a variety of coins and medals honoring his birth, significant events in his life and his death.  Mr. Williams uses an overhead projector to show the actual coins in his collection to the audience. The meeting will be held on February 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Public Library located behind the Municipal Building on Pompton Avenue.  A short meeting of the Society will be held before the program.

The Cedar Grove Historical Society maintains the Morgan Museum at 908 Pompton Avenue.  The Museum is open each Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon or by appointment.   For more information visit our web site at cedargrovehistoricalsociety.org, email jeanjaeger@optonline.net or call 973- 746-7453.
