Kicks for a Cause

"Kicks for a Cause" is a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The afternoon will feature a friendly co-ed match between the CG Soccer Club and the CG High School soccer teams. Automatic Entertainment will provide music, Batchmakers will provide the concessions, and Grove Gear will sell CG Soccer Club apparel. JDRF will also have an information table.

"A Hearty Greeting" Art Show

In 1946 in an across the pond exchange, the East Lane Senior School in North Wembley, England, sent a large box to the Mary C. Williams school in Wilmington Delaware, and they did the same.  Inside each box was approximately 78 drawings, paintings and essays from the students ranging in age from eight to sixteen. Sixty six years later the box, perfectly preserved, was found in an estate sale in Montclair, by Charlie Potters of Blowout Gallery. Come see this amazing historical snapshot of school kids and their artwork. This will be the only showing of the complete find, after this they will be sold separately.
