Grove Parking Petition in Week Ahead

Catering hall seeks 39 additional on-site parking spaces and 67 off-site spaces in planning board proposal.

The Cedar Grove Planning Board is expected to vote Tuesday on a petition by The Grove catering hall for additional on- and off-site parking for the facility.

Representatives of the catering hall appeared before the board on Aug. 21 with a proposal to add 39 parking spaces to the venue and allow 67 off-site parking spaces.

In the past, The Grove, located at 691 Pompton Ave., and the township have had an adversarial relationship.

Residents have charged overflow parking from the catering hall causes parking and traffic issues in the streets surrounding the business.
