The Children's Institute To Host Technology Presentation for Autistic Students

TCI is accepting pre-registration for a lecture series by computer specialist Randall Palmer.

The Children's Institute (TCI) in Verona is now accepting pre-registration for workshop on technology and how it can be used to support students with Autism.

TCI computer specialist Randall Palmer will demonstrate how to use iPads, iPods, iPhones and apps to students with autism as part of a continued lecture series.

The workshop will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Children's Institute, located at 1 Sunset Ave. in Verona.

“The presentation will center on apps supporting Communication, Social Skills, Activity Schedules, Video Modeling, and Self Regulation,” TCI said in a written statement.

Complimentary dinner and childcare will also be available to families of TCI students starting at 6:30 p.m., they added.

The workshop is free of charge but pre-registration is required.
