Spin For Life Raises Money For Verona Child With Fatal Disease

Two Spin for Life Spin-A-Thons will be held to raise money for the Progeria Research Foundation, which aims to raise money and awareness for a fatal rapid-aging disease.

Team Zoey and the Progeria Research Foundation will be holding its third annual “Spin for Life indoor Spin-A-Thon” to raise money and awareness for progeria, a fatal rapid-aging disease, where children die at an average age of 13 from heart disease.

Team Zoey is a chapter of the Progeria Research Foundation, which seeks to develop treatments and find a cure for the progeria, a disease that causes rapid aging at about seven to 10 times the normal rate in children.

Zoey Penny was diagnosis at the age of five months and her family has been working to find a cure ever since.
