"We could not have been happier with the day, we had over 300 attendees, a 2-2 draw, perfect weather and all for an important cause.," said Cedar Grove Soccer Club Vice President Greg Dilley.

The soccer club is a non-profit group dedicated to promoting soccer throughout the township. The club consists of Cedar Grove alumni who coach soccer for children from pre-K to eighth grade.

“I love the game more every day and being involved in the club makes me want to play more,” said Dilley. “All the coaches have a passion for the game.”

"One of my favorite memories of the day was actually after all the organized festivities had ended," he said. "While standing at the top of the hill, we looked down to 30 children chasing soccer balls all over the field. No coaches, no referees, no uniforms, just a ball and some space..that's what it's all about for us."
