How to Post Your Events, Announcements on Patch

Learn how to post your own events, announcements and blogs to Verona-Cedar Grove — for free! Keep this article handy each time there's something going on that you want the community to know about.

To Post Events

Go to "Add an Event." Tell us all the details about your upcoming event, then click "Post my Event" at the bottom of the page.

That puts the event directly on our calendar. The end result is the same as if the editors had posted it for you. The only difference is, when you post it, it goes up right away. If you send it to the us, you might have to wait. Plus, you can edit, change, update as needed.

To Post Announcements

Go to the Add an Announcement form. Once there, tell the community all about your child's sports league victory or your civic club’s new members. When you’re ready, click "Publish My Announcement" and it will go live to the site immediately.

With just a few clicks, you can tell the town when you get married, have a baby, graduate or make the dean's list. Have you been promoted or have a milestone anniversary coming up? Share it and upload a photo, too!

You can also write a public thank you, provide details about your group's upcoming event, publish a political news release or ask for volunteers.

To Blog

Simply click the "Start a Blog?" button on our homepage, click "Post on Patch," and fill out the required fields. When done, hit "Save and Preview" and then submit it to us. We'll take a gander and contact you with any questions before posting!
