Both hardcovers and paperbacks will be included in this giveaway.

Congregation Agudath Israel, the First Presbyterian Church of Caldwell, Notre Dame Catholic Church and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Essex Fells are proud to co-host Professor Lawrence Schiffman, the Vice Provost of Yeshiva University in New York City, and Professor James VanderKam, the John A. O’Brien Professor of Hebrew Scriptures at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend , Indiana, two of the world’s foremost authorities on Second Temple Judaism, Intertestamental Literature and the Dead Sea Scrolls. The professors will be delivering a series of lectures on these subjects and on the implications for Jews and Christians of Jesus having been a Jew. This lecture will be preceded by a Friday night dinner for patrons of this series.  Patrons will have dinner with Professor VanderKam and the local clergy, receive one of Professor VanderKam’s books and a listing in the program for the series.
