Celebrate Ash Wednesday in Verona and Cedar Grove

Ash Wednesday takes place 46 days before Easter and marks the first day of Lent, a period of prayer and fasting for Christians.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, adherents of Lent will have an ash cross placed on their foreheads symbolizing mourning and repentance. 

Here is where and when ashes will be distributed in Verona and Cedar Grove.

St. Catherine of Siena.

Ashes will be distributed during Masses at 6:45 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. A prayer service and distribituon of ashes will take place at 3:30 p.m.

Our Lady of the Lake.
32 Lakeside Ave. in Verona.
Mass will be held at 7 a.m, 8:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Community Church of Cedar Grove.
