February is known as the month of Love. However, February is not only about Valentine's Day and special flowers and gifts, but also about Heart Health Awareness. American Heart Month is dedicated to helping others become more aware of keeping your heart healthy and the causes and prevention of heart disease. During an interview with Waterview Center Cardiologist, Dr. Erroll Williams, he shared a few important tips to help keep a healthy heart. He states "1. Get moving. Exercise lifts your spirits and improves your quality of life, 2. Eat healthy. Choose the right foods for the right results, 3. Live in the here and now. Use today and make a difference." He also states that "Genetics are not your destiny. We have to intervene and start a healthy lifestyle early". Living a heart healthy lifestyle begins with you!
