Verona Home Sweet Home Moves Stores

Home Sweet Home, an affordable antiques and home decor shop in Verona, has moved a few doors down to expand their store.

Home Sweet Home, owned by Ralph and Janice Cocchi, has been selling affordably priced home décor and accessories in Verona for the past 14 years but recently decided it was time for a change.

The popular store, which sells antiques, mirrors, lights, gifts and many other unique items will be moving a few doors down to a much larger location.

The store, originally located at 298 Bloomfield Ave., has doubled in size by moving to 284 Bloomfield Ave.

“We still have painted furniture, antiques, lights, chalk painting and now we have some more modern pieces that are going to be coming in,” said Janice. “We are very affordably priced and we are well known for that.”

In addition to home décor, Home Sweet Home offers interior design, custom painting, delivery, lighting as well as buying and selling.

Janice's husband, Ralph Cocchi, owner of Remember When Antiques at 290 Bloomfield Ave. in Verona, will be stocking up Home Sweet Home with some of his antiques.

The Cocchi's also own a Home Sweet Home Chatham, and although they own three stores in total, each store features its own unique items.

“We offer original merchandise since all of the items are one of a kind,” said Janice.

Home Sweet Home Chatham is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Saturday. Home Sweet Home in Verona will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Saturday.

“The new store is wonderful, we are putting mirrors up and hangings and still rearranging but it's open and it looks nice,” said Janice.
