Jimmy and the Parrots Close Concert Series

Band played a mix of rock, country and beach tunes for the throng of residents.

Jimmy and the Parrots closed out Verona's Summer Concert Series poolside Wednesday night with a mix of Jimmy Buffet's greatest hits, patriotic tunes and select classics.

The Bloomsbury, NJ-based quartet was joined onstage at the Verona Pool prior to the performance by Mayor Frank Sapienza, who called this summer's series a great success.

Before the playing of the National Anthem, the mayor thanked the organizations who sponsored the events all summer, the pool staff and the men and women of the armed forces.

Jimmy and the Parrots played for a little more than an hour, leading the crowd in singalongs of some of their favorite rock and country tunes.
